2014 New Year's / Kendall Webb Triathlon registration confirmation - who is in the race?
Triathlon Entry cost: Holiday Special for adults until Jan. 1st(while spots last!)! $50, thru 1/3/14 ($60), and late sign-up at mandatory check-in ($70). YMCA Members may enter the event for $45 (please provide YMCA number)! Junior competitors age 17 and under may enter for $30
Note: There are NO race day sign-ups available for the Triathlon!
ALL TRIATHLON ENTRANTS MUST:
i) Present an annual USAT membership card when checking in
ii) must purchase while registering on Active.com the one-day USAT membership for $12
Refund policy: We realize things come up and we will allow a refund as follows: Until Nov. 1st 2013 - 100%, until Dec. 1st 2013 - 50% and after Dec. 1st no refunds will be given. There is a $15 refund fee withheld for processing the refund. The Kendall Webb Triathlon is a RAIN or SHINE event!

Awards: Top Triathlon overall Male and Female receive a pure 4oz Silver medal. Overall 2nd/3rd place will receive a beautiful commemorative pure Silver athletic coin set. 1st place masters (40+), senior masters (50+) and senior masters (60+) division (M/F) receive a pure 1oz. Silver commemorative sports coin. Awards go 3 deep in each group or age-group.
Awards ceremony will take place at the YMCA and will begin about 15 minutes after the last triathlete finishes (approximately 9:00am). NOTE: You must be present to receive you award. Any awards not handed out will be left at Movin' Shoes in Pacific Beach. There is NO award "double-dipping"!
Our New Year's / Kendall Webb Triathlon event will have 5 year age-groups male and female as follows:
12U, 13-14,15-19, 20-24, 25-29,30-34,35-39,40-44,45-49,50-54,55-59,60-64,65-69,70-74,75-79
Amenities/Refreshments: We will have Finisher Medals for all finishers, goodie bags, Color T-shirts and post-race refreshments (fruit, homemade muffins from Mimi's Kitchen, Hammer Gel/Heed and water) for all competitors. We will also be giving away some great prizes from our sponsors!
Continental Breakfast: Mimi's popular breakfast burrito will be provided by Mimi's kitchen and made available to all entrants post-race!
MANDATORY EVENT CHECK-IN DATES FOR COMPETITORS (pick ONE that is convenient for you!):

Jan. 4th (Sat) - Movin' Shoes (Pacific Beach) 10:30am-3pm

NOTE: If you live OUTSIDE of San Diego County, you may check-in race morning, Jan. 5th from 5-6:30 a.m. If you live in the extreme north, east or south sections of San Diego County, you may check-in race morning. Our events take place "rain or shine".

Bike Course: Map
Bike course rules: All USAT rules will apply. It is the entrant's responsibility to know the USAT rules. Our bike course will be marshaled. Our bike marshals will be looking for 5 key violations: 1) Your helmet is fastened at ALL times on the course, 2) You may NOT draft at any time on the bike course. This means keep at least 5 bike lengths between you and the rider in front of you and you may NOT ride along side another rider, 3) Our course will have 2 "no passing" zones race day. Obey all rules and instructions regarding these lanes, 4) No erratic or unsafe riding, and 5) Observe the Mount/Dismount line and follow instructions accordingly. Violators of these rules may be given a warning, penalized by a time penalty or may be DISQUALIFIED.
